We got Lucy in November of 2016. Quickly, we realized we had to come up with a way to give her some exercise or she was going to be a barky bitch forever.
It started by walking around a nearby park. Then, Jess found how close we were to Pyramid Mountain, which had a variety of moderate trails, a perfect place for us to start.
Quickly, we realized two things:
- We really like hiking
- Lucy really likes hiking
Those first couple times helped us start a new hobby, one that we’ve now taken to the Delaware Water Gap and to the Gorge in Washington state.
From there, we decided that we liked nature so much that we wanted to try camping. Neither of us have ever camped before (besides one drunken night for Mike in college, which he barely remembers).
