While it may not always make us happy, we are American consumers. We buy shit. A lot of it. Probably too much.
Then we realized how much shit we’ve acquired and cut down for six months or a year and try to find cheaper options or better quality or things that better suit our lifestyle.
This is our relentless pursuit of chasing the American dream of finding deals, bargains, and quality for a reasonable price.
But, it’s also a collection of some of our most epic fails.
Check out the categories below and discover our opinions on all kinds of popular products, streaming services, monthly box subscriptions, and television shows and movies.
Clothing
No, we’re not reviewing our Levi’s jeans or Hane’s t-shirts here.
Instead, this category is dedicated to monthly clothing subscription boxes. Some of these, such as Le Tote, are like rented clothes. They send you a box of clothes. You wear it and send it back. Then they send you another box (you can also buy the clothes from the box if it just looked amazing on you, but read the review for details on this).
Others are more like your personal wardrobe assistant. They send you clothes. If you like it, you buy it. If you don’t like it, you send it back at no cost.

Accessories
Ladies, accessories are just as important, if not more important than the clothes. These accessory boxes can be tailored to fit your life and your style.
And, some of them, like FabFitFun, send all kinds of different beauty products and health and beauty recommendations every three months (you can tailor your plan).
Check out our recent experiences below to see which ones we recommend.

Grooming
Like men all around the country, Mike hated spending so much money on razors. It was insane to think about. So, he tried each of the shave clubs, one by one.
Discover his reviews and recommendations so you don’t get (razor) burned!

Cooking
Supermarkets suck. We know it. You know it. Everyone knows it. Hell, that’s why we dedicated a whole section of our blog to it.
We wanted to check out the cooking subscriptions to see if they made our lives easier, or just added more stress by forcing us to cook something that night and not just throw some kind of combination of chicken nuggets, macs and cheese, and vegetables on a plate.
Some of our mid-week meals are uninspiring. Just like yours. It’s cool. Not everything has to go on @Instagram. Sometimes, it's just frozen chicken nuggets and macs and cheese. #reallife Click To TweetLong story short, we tried them. All of them. Each was a little different, with pros and cons. Read the reviews below to find out which ones we recommend.

Pets
Our little Lucy deserves the best. Whether it’s hiking, chew toys, or treats, we’re always hunting for new ways to spoil her.
But, even though she’s only 25 pounds, it’s all muscle and she’s a destructor. Cheap toys don’t last long. We need things that can take a beating. Because Lucy’s coming to destroy weak toys. And she’s got the patience and the time to wear them down.
Some of these reviews are of toys that had the look, walked the walk, and seemed like they’d last.
An hour later they were destroyed. Bye $13!!
Don’t make the same mistakes we did. Read the reviews.

Streaming Services
We ditched cable for good three years ago and haven’t looked back. For some reason, we don’t miss the terrible customer service and the two-hour long phone calls every time our contract expired to negotiate a lower price.
But not every streaming service is created equal. Most of them have gotten over the lagging issues from a couple years ago, but some still have terrible menus and on-demand options.
Others have weird channel lineups that don’t make sense. And the rest are damn good, but expensive.
But the original goal was to lower costs. In each review, we’ll share a list of pros and cons for that service.
